 SCORE, "Counselors to America's Small Business", is a nonprofit association dedicated to providing, no-cost, personalized, confidential counseling to help start-up and existing businesses. Our counselors can help business owners secure financing or operate, manage and/or expand an existing business. In 2008 SCORE Chapters in West Virginia provided 1200 small business services to entrepreneurs. Services were provided through email and face-to-face counseling, as well as business workshops.
The Huntington chapter’s volunteers have many years of business experience and a wide range of expertise. SCORE volunteers consist of working and retired business owners. They are executives and professionals donating their time and expertise, in any number of disciplines (accounting, marketing, retail, procurement, manufacturing, sales, etc.) as business counselors and mentors.
Are my business secrets safe with SCORE?
Yes. All SCORE business counselors honor the client's right to proprietary and confidential information. All SCORE counselors abide by an association Code of Ethics, which includes protecting the confidences between client and counselor. Each year, counselors reaffirm their commitment to the Code of Ethics.

One of our experienced counselors will respond to your request as soon as possible. We make every effort to set counseling times that fit your schedule.
Workshops: SCORE of Huntington is proud to offer workshops on a variety of business topics. Our goal is to be able to provide quality educational workshops to area businesses whether they are starting up or trying to grow. We plan to offer workshops that would apply to start-up and established manufacturing firms, retail stores and service businesses.
